Bacteria Dosing Systems
GWT provides a range of bacteria products and services to maximise on the efficiency of the biological treatment on a wastewater treatment works. Bacteria products can be purchased in isolation for septic tanks and small package plants to control excess smells and sludge production.
The physical impact on FOG and the improvement in settlement can be seen in the visual changes shown in the images below

Greener Waste Technology provides a range of bacteria products and services to maximise on the efficiency of the biological treatment on a wastewater treatment works. Bacteria products can be purchased in isolation for septic tanks and small package plants to control excess smells and sludge production.
The new generation bacteria dosing systems can be rented short term or used for long term performance management. Dosing will assist in improving the performance of filter beds, improving BOD removal, and reducing FOG in PSTs (Primary Settlement Tanks). Improvements of up to 70% can be seen on filter bed performance and the process will improve ponding and can be used for reseeding when filters have been offline.
Preferential bacteria dosing can also be used to seed SAF units and other biological processes to ensure a quick start up time (usually within 2 weeks compared with up to ten weeks).
Greener Waste Technology also offers biological cleaning of filter beds using a manual process supported by proprietary dosing. This method of filter cleaning provides immediate results, ensures media stays within the beds and that no alterative temporary treatment is needed during the procedure. A blend of extremophiles is dosed, dry, onto the bed surface as part of the routine assisting in breaking down and consuming excess organic content within the beds. A flushing procedure then ensures any non-organic components or hard particles such as snail shells and grit/detritus can be washed through easily.
